Dipl Des, Industrial Design, Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg, Germany; as a professor she collaborated with LG Electronics, Riedel/Nachtmann glassware, and Simon Pearce; she has practiced with Hoberman Associates on foldable products; and with Ronnette Riley Architect on the interior of the first sustainable daycare center in Williamsburg, Brooklyn; in 1997, she founded Specific Objects Inc., a design practice in New York; she designed a fair booth for Hamilton watches as part of the Swatch environment; a series of commemorative objects for the MoMA store to sell in conjunction with the PS1 Young Architects Program., and for Material ConneXion, she curated an exhibition on ecological products entitled ‘Glamorous Green.’ she has lectured in the US, in Japan and in Europe, and her work has been exhibited and published internationally, her awards include the Ideas Competition Design Plus at the Frankfurt International Fair Ambiente for her hearing aid design; she was awarded a residency at the European Ceramic Workcentre (.ekwc) in the Netherlands in 2011, and her T-Stool was featured by ekwc at Object Rotterdam in 2012.
