Areas of expertise: Robotics, Virtual Reality, Control Systems, Embedded Systems, Human Robot Interaction Graduated from the department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2007. Earned a Master (2010) and Ph.D. (2013) in Media Design at Graduate School of Media Design, Keio University. Expertise in Robotics, Control Systems, Embedded Systems and Virtual Reality with a focus on how latest robotic technologies can be used to benefit the society in near future. His current research also focuses on how the human body schema can be modelled artificially and reproduced on robots to feel the body that they operate during tele-robotics feel as their own. Belongs to Realitymedia project in KMD and manages the Beyond Vicinity sub project which deeply study about how to interact and feel beyond ones peripheral space through visual, auditory, and haptic sensations.
